While the Mainstream Media fawned for several days over the wonders the Messiah Obama has wrought in his first 100 days in office as the USA’s First Socialist President, we have been near to nausea! There is nothing like a leftist/ socialist President to bring out the sycophant lapdogs of The Left and have them howling in unison. And that is, I think, a good description of the MSM’s reporting on the miracles of Obama, “The One”, the past few days on all the media they control, which is darn near all the media.

The MSM reminds us so much of a child who thinks he, or she, is so much smarter than his parents… until he grows up. And they find, as a famous writer once said: “The older I get the smarter my Dad gets”! Eventually those in America’s media will grow up, but, upon adulthood they will be replaced with another group of young leftists right out of the cookie-cutter leftist journalism schools at our leftist universities and leftist colleges in America. That’s the way it works, dear reader. There is NEVER a shortage of leftist journalists because the left has factories where they are made!

The Messiah image of Obama continues to be polished and held up into the light so that it sparkles and blinds the beholders so they do not see what is behind that eye-scorching dazzle.

But, there will come a time in the not too distant future when the truth of the empty suit that is “The Obamissiah” will become evident

It is the young, the inexperienced, the ignorant, and the leftist/socialists among the American electorate who support this man. And that is frightening. Why? Because they are present in such vast numbers. To know that your country is ruled by such lightweights is a scary thing. Add to that the evidence of Obama’s efforts to move the US farther to the left, and deeper into socialism and secularism and you have a formula for disaster for this formerly great country.

Redistribution of the nation’s wealth, universal healthcare, embracing the global warming hoax, plans for nuclear disarmament, nationalization of America’s financial system and auto industry, and the list goes on. What else do you need before you will accept that Obama has taken America, in 100 days, from a democratic nation to a socialist nation? There it is.

Of course, we haven’t mentioned Obama’s request to have the “IHS” on the stage at Georgetown University’s Gaston Hall covered before he would speak there on April 14th. That, alone, should tell you all you ever need to know about the man. In the article, at CNSNews.com, Representative Fleming is quoted as saying: “I have a concern about the very sharp turn to socialism that’s happening in our government.” Fleming is further quoted as having said: “Where you see socialism, you see a decline in Christianity and religion in general.” The Congressman is on the money with those remarks.

America has problems today, dear reader, that makes our financial problems pale in comparison. America is on the extreme verge of losing her soul! What, you may ask, is the causation of this dilemma? LUST, POWER, and GREED. Put another way: The lust for power, and the greediness of the political left to lay claim to all of it!

One hundred days, and one man, was all it took to bring America down. The socialist/communists have always said they would bring America down from INSIDE. They have succeeded.

Joe Stalin once said: "America, is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within." Soviet dictator Krushchev once said: "We can't expect the American people to jump from capitalism to communism (socialism), but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses (Incrementalism) of socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have communism".

When you “look up” socilaism in your dictionary you will see that socialism is defined as the last stage before full blown communism. THAT’S how close we are today.

One hundred days was all it took. One hundred days.

The end of the world has always been a popular theme for various religions and for doomsayers in general. The Mayan calendar identifies December 12, 2012 as the end of the world. In the second century B.C., the Jewish cult, the Essenes, framed it as a battle between good and evil, and the Book of Revelations offers its own scenario.

The latest version, of course, is Al Gore’s prediction that the Earth is on fire from “global warming” and we have to buy his carbon credits to avoid it. Even President Obama is preaching this absurd, baseless nonsense in order to drum up votes in Congress for his economy-killing “cap-and-trade” scheme to tax all energy use.

A real, science-based apocalyptic scenario exists and humanity has had a taste of it over its brief 10,000 years on Earth. It has to do with solar cycles during which there is a significant reduction of magnetic storms, otherwise known as sunspots, on the engine of our galaxy. These cycles are closely tracked and we are now in Solar Cycle 23.

James A. Marusek, a nuclear physicist and engineer, recently wrote about the current cycle and I will excerpt his article. He believes there are two paths ahead and each is marked with a “Danger” signpost. You need to know about them, even if there is nothing that anyone on the planet can do about it.

“It is now evident,” Marusek writes, “that the Grand Maxima state that has persisted during most of the 20th century has come to an abrupt end.” Older solar cycles averaged 797 spotless days, more than twice that of recent ones. They accounted for the cold spells often called little ice ages.

“We are now at a crossroad,” writes Marusek. “Two paths lie before us. Down one path lies monstrous solar storms. Down the other path lies several decades of crushing cold temperatures and global famine.”

Our most current experience with the latter has been the cycle that began around 1998 when the Earth’s average temperatures began to cool. It has been accompanied by glaciers that have begun to grow, increasing ice at the North and South Poles, and snowfall in desert nations that have not seen snow in their recorded history.

If the current solar cycle, devoid of sunspots and closing in on some six hundred days continues, solar scientists have a name for it, a “Dalton Minimum” or a “Maunder Minimum.” It is still too early to say if the Sun will take this route. The alternative is a period of very intense solar storms.

Either way, the result would wreak havoc on the Earth. Fewer sunspots will mean a colder Earth and that means reduced production of the crops we depend upon for food for ourselves and for the livestock that provide part of our diet. The alternative is massive solar storms that produce magnetic field energy that is released in the form of huge magnetic flares.

The effect of such flares could destroy the large extra high voltage power transformers in the United States and other nations. Replacing such transformers would take over a year and each cost in the area of ten million dollars. The National Research Council examined what could occur and concluded that “it would result in large-scale blackouts affecting more than 130 million people (in the U.S.) and expose more than 350 major transformers to the risk of permanent damage.”

Try to imagine an electrical blackout that lasts months, even years.
Too much magnetic activity destroys the electrical system. Too little brings on either a little ice age or triggers the next full scale one. The Earth is at the end of the 10,000 to 11,500 year cycle between ice ages, so the potential for the latter scenario is very real. When it arrives, it will do so very swiftly.

If you are tempted to dismiss either scenario, history has another story to tell. During a particularly brutal winter in 1779-1780, the surface of the Hudson River was solid ice for five weeks. Early settlers traveling west in covered wagons crossed a frozen over Mississippi near present day St. Louis in 1799. In England, the Great Frost of 1683-1684, the River Thames was completely frozen for two months and nearly a foot thick at London.

A nation without electricity with millions of people unable to light, heat or cool their homes or apartments, to use any appliance, to control traffic, to use any communications, to function based on modern technology is almost beyond our imagination.

Thus, while politicians and other charlatans preach “global warming”, talk of green jobs, and refuse to permit energy industries to have access to oil, natural gas, or coal, while planning to tax the emissions from what energy we do use, the Sun has other plans.

I’ll make this one short and sweet!

If you thought we conservatives would be all “down in the mouth” over losing Specter to the democrats, you are WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!! We are, instead, delighted! Specter was chief among the “RINOS.” There are so many more the GOP needs to purge.

Of course, a purge of the GOP is not about to happen, at least not intentionally.

I am still up for a third party, “The Conservative Party.” As I remarked on a friend’s blog, earlier today, I am of the opinion we conservatives would have more influence on national politics as a third party than we have now. At least, with our numbers, the GOP, in particular, would have to seek our support to further their goals. As it stands today, the GOP takes us for granted. They only want our votes and nothing else.

In any event, I whispered a prayer of “Thanks” to heaven today for relieving us of at least one millstone around our necks. If we could only get rid of all the Rinos, then, THAT would be a good start!

We knew this day would eventually come. And now it is here and we have the wrong person in the Oval Office to deal with it.

The UN is demanding that their rules and regs take precedence over the US Constitution. See, that’s what happens when you sign a democratic nation onto a socialist organization and join the company of a slew of representatives from countries ruled by tin-pot dictators. There is a parable in the Bible that speaks of this sort of thing. It is an old, old, expression, which, if I can paraphrase here, goes something like this: “A little leaven… leavens the whole lot.” In other words… a little evil in a group makes the entire group evil. Or said, yet, another way, “one evil person in an organization makes the entire organization evil.” In today’s vernacular it means, simply: “ guilt by association.”

We have no love for the UN. In fact we’d like to see it disbanded, the building torn down, and the land it was sitting upon plowed under and sown with salt to prevent anything from growing there.

One of the reasons we pushed so hard for the election of a conservative president in 2008 was because we feared a liberal president would submit the US to UN rule. And what do you know? We got a President who bows to the king of a desert full of sand dunes… and, oh, yeah, oil.

Many conservatives warned of the dangers of the election of a liberal President and pointed out this very possibility… that the election of a liberal President in 2008, was to be avoided unless, of course, the people of America were in favor of the US being run by the UN!

Well, that day has arrived and I have absolutely no reservations in predicting that the current President of the US will fold to the UN like a cheap suit.

So what has brought us to this sorry place in history? Well, a few days ago, the U.N.'s top anti-torture envoy said the U.S. is obligated by a United Nations convention to prosecute Bush administration lawyers who allegedly drafted policies that approved the use of harsh interrogation tactics against terrorism suspects. The “convention” he is speaking of is “The U.N. Convention Against Torture.”

In the spirit of full disclosure, allow me to explain my own stance on the US using torture on terrorists. If torture will get us the information we need to stop an attack on Americans, anywhere in the world, and keep American families safe, I have no problem with it. We are dealing with people who would slit the throats of you’re your babies, your children and stand over their bodies and laugh!

Alright, here is the crux of the current matter: The UN wants to prosecute those Bush Administration Justice Department officials who wrote memos that defined torture and who assured CIA officials that their use of certain tactics was legal.

I have to ask… is our President going to allow another entity to try US citizens for expressing an opinion? An opinion asked for by their employer, the President of the United States? Oh, yes! There is the implied threat that if the US does not prosecute those lawyers and other experts for giving an opinion they were asked to give by their President, they will be tried by another entity “abroad”, which is simply another way of saying they intend to try US citizens in a court of law in another country for something they did, which the accusers believe was a crime, in THIS country! Now, this is where a REAL Commander-in-Chief would begin rattling sabres and mentioning that three letter word… WAR. Yes, this is where Obama should be saying: “Look, you try dragging one of our citizens before a court in any country charged with a crime they committed in the US, if, indeed, it was a crime, then we will use the full might of the US military to stop you, your country, and the UN, if necessary.

And NO, we’re not going to hear that because our socialist President believes in “global governance”… or a one-world government, which sublimates the US constitution to the United Nations.

Exactly what the UN Representative is saying is that the 145 other countries who are co-signers of that particular UN Convention have an obligation to arrest any of those accused, if they are found within their jurisdiction, and return then to the US, under arrest, IF the US guarantees it will try them. If the US does not agree to try them then those 145 countries have an obligation to try the accused themselves. Is that clear enough for you? You can read the entire story HERE.

One can say what one will about the Bush Administration, and Lord knows, there was a lot I did not agree with them on, but there is one thing for which I will be forever in their debt, and that is for keeping my family, and my country, safe from any more terrorist attacks after 9-11.

It seems to me that for the current President to allow any sort of condemnation of the men and women who did everything they could to prevent further death and destruction on America’s shores is nothing short of ingratitude to the nth degree. Not to mention the damage it does to “trust” among presidential advisors in the future when asked to give the President a frank and honest opinion on, well, ANY subject. How can advisors EVER trust the President, or the Congress ever again? The honest answer is they cannot. They can NEVER know they will not be prosecuted, years later, for rendering an honest opinion to an inquiry from the President. Of course, that means the President cannot fully trust their advice, either.

This matter is a “Pandora’s Box” best left unopened. But an inexperienced President with, unfortunately, a “Messiah” complex has opened it and now it cannot be closed.

As we have noted before in this column, the UN seems ever ready to undermine the only nation keeping them afloat monetarily, by rushing in to accuse the US of every kind of evil, because, in our opinion, the UN is jealous of the superpower status of the US. How utterly ridiculous! How very like the UN!

The UN, as we have said often in this column, is hopelessly broken. It cannot be repaired. The UN is finished. I, for one, would happily bid the UN “goodbye and good riddance.” I would stand on the docks of New York Harbor and wave, gleefully, as the ship bearing the entire UN entourage, slips eastward over the horizon. What a wonderful thought.

In the meantime, the US, it seems, must continue to do the UN’s job as they are completely incapable of taking care of themselves… let alone policing the world’s trouble spots.

Many Americans are growing extremely tired of financing that nest of “ne’er do wells” and we’d like to see it fold up and go away. It is long past time for the US to pull out of the UN and allow the demise of that sad, arrogant, impotent, and disappointing organization.

If one chooses not to subscribe to a religion (in America) that is perfectly OK. Nowhere is it written that you must belong to one faith, or the other, to be a good citizen, or even just to be a citizen. Nowhere.

At the same time, nowhere is it written that I can’t practice mine.

A not so careful reading of the 1st Amendment will demonstrate, to anyone with an open mind, the framers had nothing to say about the mingling of religion and state. What they did not want to see was the state impose a certain religion, or denomination, on it’s people.

At the time the Constitution was written, some of the northeastern states/colonies had already established state churches. The churches in those states/colonies were a part of that state’s government. If you were a citizen of that state you were a member of that church. One, or two, European countries have the same state/church situation, even today, as the early colonies had in the 1700’s. When you are born, in those countries, you are born into the church. You remain a member until death, or, you go to court and ask a judge to allow you to leave that “state church.”

There is no such thing as separation of church and state in this country. I don’t believe the Constitution even suggests it. Only a myopic, left leaning, court could find that in the Constitution. They think they have. As soon as the conservative court becomes a fact, and not a figment of our imagination, that will be over-turned.

Having said all this, I still favor an amended 1st Amendment to make the practice of those religions that would forsake our constitutional law and replace it with some sort of religious code of laws unacceptable and even illegal in the US. There are obvious reasons for outlawing those religions in this country.

And YES, this country was founded on the tenants of the Judeo-Christian faith. One cannot read any of our state documents, or any of our founding documents, or look at our national buildings, (even the Supreme Court Building) and not be aware of that fact. The individuals and organizations attempting to strip America of her Judeo-Christian Heritage will lose. It will be messy, and tempers are going to flare, but in the end they WILL lose.

On our money the slogan says: “In God We Trust.” Sometimes we have to be reminded of that. On the top of the Washington Monument are engraved, in Latin, the words “Praise Be To God!” My sentiments exactly!

In the past few months we Americans have been reminded just how fragile our form of government really is. By rights it should never have managed to exist as long as it has. But it did. Now, however, with the onslaught of socialism on our government, those of us who subscribe to the Christian faith, and a few others, have come to the realization that there is a war going on just out of sight of the masses of Americans and it is a war for the survival of the United States.

As Christians we can sit back and say to ourselves that due to the separation of church and state, we Christians have no part in this war. That would be, and is, wrong. And this is where the connection between church and stated proves itself. See, if the current representative republic falls, so will our right to practice our faith as we choose. As Americans we must render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s. As Christians we must render unto God the things that are God’s. Confusing the two only creates chaos, division, and could easily lead to the loss of the right to practice our faith openly and if could even lead to the loss of our constitutional freedoms and our liberty.

Forgive me if I cannot see how it is possible for Christians to support a socialist government in America. Yet millions of Christians, at least those that claim the mantle of Christianity, voted for it and even now rabidly support the socialist government of Obama and the Democratic Party in America. The Holy Scriptures of the Christians says as plainly as possible that Christians, anyone for that matter, cannot serve two masters.

It is my opinion, that if America is to survive these dark days of tribulation Christians must join together to save her. It is the ONLY way America will survive.

I am a student of history. Professionally, I have written 15 books in six languages, and have studied history all my life. I think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is just a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis. Yes, these exist but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus.

Something of historic proportions is happening. I can sense it because I know how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it. Yes, a perfect storm may be brewing, but there is something happening within our country that has been evolving for about 10 - 15 years. The pace has dramatically quickened in the past two.

We demanded and then codified into law the requirement that our banks make massive loans to people whom we knew could never pay back? Why?

We learned recently that the Federal Reserve, which has little or no real oversight by anyone, has "loaned" two trillion dollars (that is $2,000,000,000,000) over the past few months, but will not tell us to whom or why or disclose the terms. That is our money. Yours and mine. And that is three times the $700B we all argued about so strenuously just this past September.

Who has this money? Why do they have it? Why are the terms unavailable to us? Who asked for it? Who authorized it? I thought this was a government of "We the People," who loaned our powers to our elected leaders. Apparently not.

We have spent two or more decades intentionally de-industrializing our economy. Why?

We have intentionally dumbed down our schools, ignored our history, and no longer teach our founding documents, why we are exceptional, and why we are worth preserving. Students by and large cannot write, think critically, read, or articulate. Parents are not revolting, teachers are not picketing, school boards continue to back mediocrity. Why?

We have now established the precedent of protesting every close election (now violently in California over a proposition that is so controversial that it wants marriage to remain between one man and one woman. Did you ever think such a thing possible just a decade ago?).

We have corrupted our sacred political process by allowing unelected judges to write laws that radically change our way of life, and then mainstream Marxist groups like ACORN and others to turn our voting system into a banana republic. To what purpose?

Now our mortgage industry is collapsing, housing prices are in free fall, major industries are failing, our banking system is on the verge of collapse, Social Security is nearly bankrupt, as is Medicare and our entire government. Our education system is worse than a joke (I teach college and know precisely what I am talking about.) The list is staggering in its length, breadth, and depth. It is potentially 1929 x 10.

And we are at war with an enemy we cannot name for fear of offending people of the same religion who cannot wait to slit the throats of your children if they have the opportunity to do so.

And now we have elected a man no one knows anything about, who has never run so much as a Dairy Queen, let alone a town as big as Wasilla, Alaska. All of his associations and alliances are with real radicals in their chosen fields of employment, and everything we learn about him, drip by drip, is unsettling if not downright scary (Surely you have heard him speak about his idea to create and fund a mandatory civilian defense force stronger than our military for use inside our borders? No? Oh, of course. The media would never play that for you over and over and then demand he answer it. Sarah Palin's pregnant daughter and $150,000 wardrobe is more important.)

Mr. Obama's winning platform can be boiled down to one word: Change...radical change. Why?

I have never been so afraid for my country and for my children as I am now. This man campaigned on bringing people together, something he has never, ever done in his professional life. In my assessment, Obama will divide us along philosophical lines, push us apart, and then try to realign the pieces into a new and different power structure. Change is indeed coming. And when it comes, you will never see the same nation again.

And that is only the beginning.

I thought I would never be able to experience what the ordinary, moral, German felt in the mid-1930s. In those times, the savior was a former smooth-talking rabble-rouser from the streets, about whom the average German knew next to nothing. What they did know was that he was associated with groups that shouted, shoved, and pushed around people with whom they disagreed; he edged his way onto the political stage through great oratory and promises.

Economic times were tough, people were losing jobs, and he was a great speaker. And he smiled and waved a lot. And people, even newspapers, were afraid to speak out for fear that his "brown shirts" would bully them into submission.

And then he was duly elected to office, with a full-throttled economic crisis at hand [the Great Depression]. Slowly but surely he seized the controls of government power, department by department, person by person, bureaucracy by bureaucracy.

The kids joined a Youth Movement in his name, where they were taught what to think. How did he get the people on his side? He did it promising jobs to the jobless, money to the moneyless, and goodies for the military-industrial complex. He did it by indoctrinating the children, advocating gun control, health care for all, better wages, better jobs, and promising to re-instill pride once again in the country, across Europe, and across the world.

He did it with a compliant media - Did you know that? And he did this all in the name of justice and...change. And the people surely got what they voted for. (Look it up if you think I am exaggerating.)

Read your history books. Many people objected in 1933 and were shouted down, called names, laughed at, and made fun of. When Winston Churchill pointed out the obvious in the late 1930s while seated in the House of Lords in England (he was not yet Prime Minister), he was booed into his seat and called a crazy troublemaker. He was right, though.

Don't forget that Germany was the most educated, cultured country in Europe. It was full of music, art, museums, hospitals, laboratories, and universities. And in less than six years - a shorter time span than just two terms of the U. S. presidency - it was rounding up its own citizens, killing others, abrogating its laws, turning children against parents, and neighbors against neighbors. All with the best of intentions, of course. The road to Hell is paved with them.

As a practical thinker, one not overly prone to emotional decisions, I have a choice: I can either believe what the objective pieces of evidence tell me (even if they make me cringe with disgust); I can believe what history is shouting to me from across the chasm of seven decades; or I can hope I am wrong, close my eyes, have another latte and ignore what is transpiring around me.

Some people scoff at me; others laugh or think I am foolish, naive, or both. Perhaps I am. But I have never been afraid to look people in the eye and tell them exactly what I believe - and why I believe it. I pray I am wrong. But, I do not think I am.

So why is it important? OK, lets look at some reasons why the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) is important to you as an American and to all inhabitants of the earth:

The first thing we need to do is look at some of the reasons why the people of America lose if this treaty is passed and the US has signed on to it..

By asserting UN authority over seven-tenths of the Earth’s surface, LOST would be the largest territorial conquest in history.

In principle, the treaty would assert UN jurisdiction over U.S. territorial waters, and eventually over waterways within our country.

It would create a huge bureaucratic entity called the “Enterprise” which would regulate and tax all commercial uses of the high seas.

By taxing all efforts to develop the wealth of the seabed, the UN would be given a huge revenue stream, independent of national governments, to push its agenda for international socialism.
The treaty would require the redistribution of cutting-edge technology from the U.S. to all governments in the “developing world,” including extremely repressive governments.

Get the picture??? It’s that cussed “One World Government, or Global Governance our current President is so fond of. You know… it is the “GLOBALISTS” at work.

So, where do we stand today on LOST? Not good, I’m afraid.

The last time this treaty came before the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations they passed it by a vote of 17-4! If the committee approves it again it will go before the entire Senate for ratification. Honestly, it is not looking good for those of us who want a stake driven through the heart of this treaty.

The National Center for Public Policy Research has a website providing educational resources on the Law of the Sea Treaty (also known by the acronyms LOST and UNCLOS). We urge you to click on it and take a look for yourself.

National Center Vice President David Ridenour has said: "The Law of the Sea Treaty is a terrible deal for the U.S. It would threaten our sovereignty, place a significant portion of the world's resources under the control of a U.N.-style body, and complicate our efforts to apprehend terrorists on the high seas by subjecting our actions to review by an international court unlikely to render decisions favorable to the U.S."

Ridenour went on to say: “"The Law of the Sea Treaty would help radical environmentalists achieve what they haven't been able to achieve through legislation. Greenpeace has said 'the benefits of the U.N. Convention on the Law of the Sea are substantial, including its basic duties for states to protect and preserve the marine environment and to conserve marine living species.' The Natural Resources Defense Council challenged the Navy's use of 'intense active sonar,' arguing that it violates the treaty by posing a danger to marine life. The Navy ultimately agreed to scale back use of this technology. The Law of the Sea Treaty has also been used by Australia and New Zealand in an attempt to shut down an experimental blue fin tuna fishing program and by Ireland in an attempt to shut down a plant on land in England."

It is more important than ever before to contact your senators and urge them to oppose the Law of the Sea Treaty.

As socialism wraps it’s cold, icy, fingers around freedom’s throat in America many Americans have slowly come to the realization that the socialist takeover of America did not happen overnight. There were plenty of warning signs over the past few decades. As I think back, the most obvious of the “warning signs” was/is the so-called “Green Movement.”

Those who follow the Green Movement, the acolytes of the Global Warming “religion,” are easily identified by their unbridled compulsion to bow down to the false idols of science, to socialist politics, and, let us not forget… M O N E Y! You find them everywhere these days. Turn on a TV and there they are straining to burden you with a guilt trip about the damage YOU have done to the planet and how YOU must atone for your wickedness in order to be redeemed from your sins against the “Earth Mother.”

Go to church, and there they are, often in the pulpits, railing about YOUR sins NOT against God, but your sins against the Earth, the climate, the Polar bears, etc, etc.

In America’s schools YOUR children are being indoctrinated in the world’s newest religion and they are instructed to act as missionaries taking the message of the new salvation back home to their parents and family and friends and neighbors. They are made to sit through propaganda movies by Nobel Prize winners which scare the living daylights out of them and help mold those malleable mental crucibles into warriors of the LEFT armed with lies, deceit, and more propaganda.

Spreading the Green Gospel ain’t easy. If the Greenies get them at birth, and all the way through 16 to 20 years in our public education system, they are lost. The Green cult has got them… unless there is an “Intervention.”

Our politicians sold out, longs ago, to the greenies. They preach energy independence and then refuse to allow America to become energy independent by using the oil and coal we have right here beneath American soil or under American waters or in the rocks that litter some of America’s landscape. And now we have a President absolutely committed to the green religion. The man can be forgiven some of his folly for if you dig a little past his carefully crafted veneer you will find him not as intelligent as you have been led to believe.

Back to the new OLD religion. (That was not a mis-print, or an editorial screw-up.) See, that’s what this new Green religion is… O L D! It is out and out paganism. The first time I heard a minister preaching on the merits of environmentalism from the pulpit, I nearly burst out laughing! The man was obviously educated beyond his abilities! There was a man, supposedly a man of God, speaking from a sacred spot in a building set aside for the worship of God, endorsing paganism which, itself, is the world’s OLDEST religion! I ask you, how is it possible for any reasonably educated individual NOT to recognize the Green Movement for what it is… pure Paganism, the worship of Gaia, the “earth mother, or “Mother Earth”.

Many believe that paganism died after Constantine in the third century. Not so! It DID recede but the practice of paganism continued in the jungles of Africa and right here in what we now call America, and even in Europe where the practice went, for all intents and purposes, underground. Paganism has survived into the 21st century. Not much about it has changed except the name by which it is known today…. environmentalism. It is the worship of the earth. It is the deification of the planet and raising it up above that which Christians and Jews refer to as God, Jehovah, and Yahweh. It is, for Christians and Jews, a violation of the First Commandment: “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”

Today, as I scribble this little tome onto the electronic paper in front of me, it is “Earth Day.” It is a day set aside for the pagan worship of the earth, or Gaia. I sincerely hope you did not take part in any of the ridiculous ceremonies planned for Earth Day.

Even now, as I write this, I envision modern day Americans bowing down to trees and rocks and rivers and oceans paying homage to Gaia the “earth mother”. How utterly disgusting it is to see grown men and women make complete fools of themselves in pagan worship services on this day. What makes it truly disturbing is that these same men and women who, on this Wednesday, bow down to the idols of a false god, a pagan god, Gaia, will rush to church or temple or synagogue on Saturday, or Sunday, and keep a straight face while they go through the motions of worshiping the creator of all this is, seen and unseen.

Yes, the pagans are back from the fringes of society and the shadows of civilization to take advantage of mankind’s deep yearning for something to worship that he, or she, can see and hold and touch and pay tribute to in order to, somehow, redeem himself/herself from whatever his/her, darkest fears happen to be. They call it environmentalism, but those of us who recognize it for what it is call it by its real name… paganism.

It is important to understand the link between paganism and socialism. Here in America we now have a socialist government, as does much of the rest of the world. Here’s the link…socialism is the incubator and the nursery for paganism.

You see, America is now in it’s “Post-Christian Era.” We are no longer a Christian nation. America, today, is, at best, a Socialist/Pagan nation. There is a price America must pay for her failure to live into her promise, to live up to her role as the leader of the world. Make no mistake, America forsook her leadership role and joined the mob. If you have been surprised at the rapidity with which America has crumbled, then you have not been paying attention. Stand-by, for the worst is yet to come. We are only at the cusp of the troubles and tribulations this nation must yet suffer.

Already, today, I chafe under the yoke of socialism. The knowledge that the burden is only going to grow heavier makes the chafing even worse. Watching America desperately seeking redemption through the pagan worship of the earth, this oldest of old religions, it occurred to me that, at least here in America, we have finally succeeded in creating God in our own image… and it is an abomination!

I nearly threw up when I opened my Sunday morning paper and saw, on the very front page, an A.P. photo of US President Obama shaking hands with Hugo Chavez, President of Venezuela. The first thought that entered my mind was: ”Hey, those two are interchangeable!”

Yeah, I know! It was all at the laughable “Summit of the Americas” confab down in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad.

The article accompanying the photo pointed out that Mr. Obama was listening to complaints and reaching out to another leftist, like himself, Chavez, all the while listening to the constant flow of complaints about US meddling in the hemisphere.

Of course, I wasn’t there. But I suspect it would be safe to bet that Obama apologized, some more, on behalf of America and for that of which we are being accused.

I don’t know about you, but, I must tell you, I am fed up with the veritable flood of apologies from the left about what my country did, didn’t do, or whatever they think we did or didn’t do. I have had it up to the gunwales!

It is humiliating for the so-called “leader” of this nation to go “bowing and scraping” to a bunch of tin pot dictators from third-rate banana republics who pound their chests and cry: “Hey, look at me, I’m SOMEBODY!” It is a pitiable person who finds it necessary to call attention to himself in order to be recognized. We are talking huge inferiority complexes!

And another thing: For the leader of the planet’s preeminent country to bow to king of some desert, sandbox, kingdom is embarrassing, humiliating, distasteful, and disrespectful of the people of this country who put him in office! You would think he would KNOW that. Presidents of the United States of America do not, I repeat, do not, bow to the leader of another country… ever!

It is just another signal of what the liberal/socialists of America think of the USA. Not much! THEY may think we are just another country. But we are not! They cannot find it in themselves to understand that this country IS special! This country is unlike any country, ever, in the history of the world. Yet, they cannot admit that.

Those apologies? My Lord, when will they stop? Apologizing is a sign of weakness for a country. There must be a stop this dreadful behavior by the President of the United States!

Maybe the American people, who feel as I do, should demand that the president take along a printed list of our names (when he visits other countries) to present to the representative of that country alerting them that those of us represented by our names on the list DO NOT APOLOGIZE! Then Mr. Obama can go ahead and make a fool of himself if he so chooses. At least, you and I will not have demeaned our ancestry, our country or ourselves! See, we do not feel so humbled in the presence of “so-called” royalty that we feel we MUST bow and scrape! I mean, many of our ancestors either left the old country, or were kicked out of the old country, for that very reason! They would not kiss a royal a**! I can’t speak for your ancestors, but history teaches that mine were constantly in trouble with the royal families of every country they happened to land in… until they arrived here in 1789.

No, I do not feel a need to apologize to Europe, to South America, to Africa, to Asia, or those “so-called” Palestinians, or any other country, or peoples. I must tell you, I think it is a character flaw to feel one must bow to another man or woman regardless of that person’s station in life. My parents taught me that I am as good as any other human being on this planet and… I believe it! You may make of that whatever you choose. It makes no difference to me.

How many times in the past few weeks has the MsM dutifully reported every apology Mr. Obama has made? LOTS! Maybe it’s a little thing with you, dear reader, but I wanted to grab the TV and shake it, with all the gusto I could muster, and exclaim: “NOT ME! I DON’T APOLOGIZE!”

So, I think we have a duty, as “unapologetic Americans” to tell Mr. Obama that he is making a fool of himself for apologizing for you and me, the “UNAPOLOGETIC”, and he is misleading the world into thinking ALL Americans are covered by Mr. Obama’s apology. Believe me folks, those of you in lands other than America, the President may THINK he is apologizing for us, but take it from one of the “Great Unwashed” here in America… he most certainly is NOT!

The Obama Administration is hell-bent on a “Two-State” answer to the Israeli/”so-called” Palestinian conflict. So was the Bush Administration. Bush was wrong and so is Mr. Obama.

Israel’s new Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, the leader of the Likud Party, has been a hardliner in the past on the question of a Palestinian state. We urge him to hold to that position.

Netanyahu’s foreign minister is Avigdon Lieberman. Lieberman leads the Yisrael Beitenu Party. It is said to be, by the MsM, a “far-right” party. He, too, is against any establishment of a Palestinian state. Lieberman wants to expel all “ethnic” Arabs, which means, simply, the “so-called” Palestinians, already living in the state of Israel, FROM Israel!

Hopefully, these two men can save Israel by refusing to even discuss the possibility of a Palestinian state next door to Israel.

As we observe the Middle East today, it has come down to the world versus Israel. But, then again, hasn’t it always been? Well, it sure seems like it!

It is impossible for the UN, for Europe, or for the US, to understand having to withstand almost daily attacks, of some kind, somewhere, in Israel by the Islamic terrorists who go by many names, such as Hamas.

Now many of the world’s governments are demanding that Israel recognize and accept Hamas because the “so-called” Palestinians elected Hamas to run what passes for a government in the piece of land they happen to be squatting upon today. Much of the world says Israel has no choice, but, to accept Hamas.

Maybe not.

George Mitchell, Obama’s man in the Middle East, says a “Two-State” Policy is the only answer to the conflict. Mr. Mitchell is wrong. Mitchell has made three trips to the Middle East in the few weeks Obama has been President of the US. Obama is desperately seeking a solution that will bring peace to the region. Actually, what they really mean when they say “Peace in the Region” is peace between Israel and the “so-called” Palestinians. Again, we hold the opinion that Mr. Mitchell, Mr. Obama, Mr. Bush, Mrs. Clinton, and Ms. Rice are ALL wrong!

On his most recent trip to the Middle East, Mr. Mitchell spent three days in talks with the Israeli leaders and the “so-called” Palestinian leaders. It is reported that Mitchell said the conflict had gone on too long and the people of that region should not have to wait any longer for a “just” peace that would guarantee security for all of them. That is a wonderful sentiment… but not much else.

Maybe I should explain my frequent use of the term “so-called” Palestinians. See, there have never been a people known as Palestinians. Never. Look it up. You may find that you are surprised by what you learn.

Now, I tend to associate much of what is happening in that region today as being directly connected to bible prophecy. (I can hear the gasps!) Permit me to explain.

I don’t consider myself a “Bible-Thumper” but I do have a background in the evangelical, fundamentalist, Christian religion. One simply cannot be born, and reared, in the Southern part of the United States, without having a passing acquaintance with Protestant fundamentalism. It is impossible to do. In I adulthood, switched to a mainstream protestant faith and associated myself with the Evangelical Lutherans. The point is that during my formative years I was a sponge soaking up all the preaching, and teaching, and just plain “talking” from the adults about Israel and it’s place in history, in our faith, and in the world.

As I grew older, and “the news” became my business, my profession, if you please, I could not avoid noticing so much of what happened in the Middle East came as no surprise to me … but it certainly did to my colleagues in the broadcasting and news business. See, I had being paying attention, as a lad, and now all those pieces of “the puzzle,” that is the Middle East, began falling into place. Here I will date myself by confessing that I had been around for quite some time BEFORE the modern state of Israel was founded. It was hailed, at the time, as the beginning of the end. That is to say… the beginning of the “end-times.” Such an event was, and is, met with great joy by many Christians, especially those with whom I was reared.

So based on what I know, from what I learned as a youngster, and in early adulthood, from the scriptures themselves and from my preachers, teachers, and parents about Israel and her place in the world, I offer you my answer to the Israeli/”So-called” Palestinian question.

There is no answer.

At least, humankind does not have it. People of faith will know exactly what I am saying. You see, the answer is in the hands of Providence, or God, if you choose. All the wheeling and dealing and pleading and begging will bring no peace between those two people who sprang from two half-brothers with the same father and different mothers. I know, I know. I’m getting dangerously close to buttoning on my clerical collar here, and I don’t intend to do so.

Hopefully this piece will give you some insight into why so many Americans find it pure folly for diplomats to run themselves ragged trying to bring peace to that region. They know there will be no peace until the Almighty, Himself, deigns it is time. When that time arrives, believe me when I tell you… you will know it… and you will not need the Mainstream Media to tell you about it!

Until that day, count me among those who count it folly for Mr. Obama, Mr. Mitchell, and Mrs. Clinton to run to and fro on the earth seeking peace for the children of Abraham.

I’ll bet that you did not know that today is Patriots Day! Well, it IS! It is a real, live, CIVIC holiday set aside to honor, specifically, the minutemen who stood against the British at Lexington and Concord. These were the very first battles that kicked off the Revolutionary War in America, which led directly to our independence from Great Britain.

Patriots' Day (sometimes incorrectly spelled Patriot's Day or Patriots Day) is a civic holiday commemorating the anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the first battles of the American Revolutionary War. It is observed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts[1] and state of Maine[2] (once part of Massachusetts), and is a public school observance day in Wisconsin[3]. Observances and re-enactments of these first battles of the American Revolution occur annually at Lexington Green in Lexington, Massachusetts, (around 6am) and The Old North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts (around 9am). In the morning, a mounted reenactor with State Police escort retraces Paul Revere's ride, calling out warnings the whole way.

So, now that you know today is Patriots’ Day, how will you celebrate it? Good question, huh? We suggest you display the US flag outside your home or business today. We certainly hope you attended worship services at your church of choice today and gave thanks to God for the men and women who wrenched our freedom from the bonds of a monarch and for all those since who have worn the uniform of our nation’s armed services and sacrificed themselves in order to preserve that freedom so preciously paid for in blood.

At a time in our nation’s history when we stand at the brink of losing that hard won freedom, closer than we have ever been, in my opinion, we need to step back a bit and take a closer look at what we are about to lose. It is good to remind ourselves, and our government, that America is unique in the entire world. Our government is founded on a constitution, the foundation of all the law(s) of the land. Unfortunately, it becomes necessary to remind those who would govern this land that it is not they who have the final say in government, it is the constitution.

Just this week crowds, estimated at one million strong, took to the streets and gathered at their county courthouses, all across the country, in what were referred to as “Tea Parties” to protest our current government’s attempts to take away the rights won for us by the patriots of this blessed land.

There is an organization, called the “Oath Keepers” we heard about just this week. “Oath Keepers” is an association of law enforcement and military personal so dedicated to the Constitution that they have published a list of ten orders they will NOT obey. They will reaffirm the Oath to the Constitution today. (As a veteran, I swore the same oath.) Here is that oath:

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Here is the list of ten orders the Oath Keepers say they will NOT obey:

1. We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people.

2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people.

3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to military tribunal.

4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state.

5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty.

6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.

7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.

8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control.”

9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies.

10.We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.

The Oath Keepers, on their site, go on to say:

“Oath Keepers is an association of currently serving military, veterans, and peace officers who will fulfill the oath we swore to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God.

Our oath is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and we will not obey unconstitutional (and thus illegal) and immoral orders, such as orders to disarm the American people or to place them under martial law and deprive them of their ancient right to jury trial.

We Oath Keepers have drawn a line in the sand. We will not “just follow orders."

Our motto is “Not on our watch!”

Our nation is split apart this Patriots’ Day, much as it was in the years, months, and even days leading up to the confrontation between that scraggly bunch of “fringe” extremists who met the British Army at Lexington and Concord. Historians tell us that roughly one-third of the colonist wanted independence, while one-third of the colonists did NOT want independence, and one-third of the colonists couldn’t have cared less… one way or the other. The big difference today is the percentage of those who couldn’t care less is much smaller. We are closer to a 50-50 split today over the preservation of the liberty and freedom those patriots won for us.

This very day in America we tread dangerous ground. When Americans feel it necessary to form organizations such as the “Oath-Keepers” it tells us there is a deep concern among the people of the country for American’s freedom. It tells us there is a perception among Americans that their country is in peril. And, say what you will about us crazy Americans, when our constitution, and/or our liberty is in harm’s way we get our hackles up. They’re up now.

When one million normally quiet, reserved, conservative Americans take to the streets to protest government actions, taxes, and the direction the current Congress and Presidential Administration are taking America, THAT is a signal that something is desperately wrong in America.

If you ever wondered what it would be like if seriously deranged people were close to the seat of power in America, you can stop wondering.

In January, the Competitive Enterprise Institute issued a three-page memorandum. William Yeatman, the author of the memorandum, had serious concerns about the nomination of Dr. John P. Holdren to be the White House Science Adviser.

This position heads the Office of Science and Technology Policy which, in official lingo, “serves as a source of scientific and technological analysis and judgment for the President with respect to major policies, plans and programs of the Federal Government.”

“John Holdren’s 40-year record of outlandish scientific assertions, consistently wrong predictions, and dangerous public policy choices make him unfit to serve as White House Science Adviser,” warned Yeatman.

Just how crazy is Holdren? On April 8, according to the Associated Press, Holdren said that “global warming is so dire, the Obama administration is discussing radical technologies to cool Earth’s air.” Holdren suggested that one option includes “shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect the sun’s rays.”

The last time anything of this nature was discussed, it was called “a nuclear winter” in which the debris from a nuclear war would fill the atmosphere and keep the Sun’s warming and nourishing rays from getting through.

According to Holdren, “It’s got to be looked at. We don’t have the luxury of taking any approach off the table.” Holdren believes that the Earth is in the grip of global warming, but the difference between belief and science is that the latter demands proof. Take, for example, the data our weather satellites have been sending back since 1998 all of which points to a cooling Earth.

Twice during the interview, Holdren compared global warming to being “in a car with bad brakes driving toward a cliff in a fog.” The truth, however, is that Holdren is a genuine cuckoo who probably checks under the bed every night to make sure the bogyman isn’t there.

Yeatman described him more charitably as a “chronic alarmist”, citing just a few of his paranoid fantasies. The really neat thing about making catastrophic predictions is that they always take place way into a future. In 1986, Holdren was predicting that global warming would cause the deaths of one billion people by 2020. In 1998 Holdren warned that we just can’t go on using energy fuels like oil, natural gas, and coal that represent nearly one hundred percent of everything we and everyone else uses now and will into the future. These days we hear President Obama blathering away about “clean energy”, but there is reality and there is the increasingly weird world of the White House.

In a recent article, Robert Bryce, one of the nation’s leading authorities on energy, pointed out that “Oil now provides nearly 40 percent of America’s total primary energy use. It also provides nearly all of the energy needed for the transportation sector. Coal and natural gas together provide about 50 percent of America’s primary needs.”

That leaves “clean energy”, solar and wind power, “but together,” Bryce notes, “these sources currently provide about 0.16 percent of Americans total needs.” It should also be pointed out that solar, wind, and ethanol production would not exist were it not for huge government subsidies and mandates for their use.

Both President Obama and Holdren think “clean energy” should receive billions of dollars while the White House does everything in its power to destroy the nation’s oil and coal industries.

The Interior Secretary, Ken Salazar, recently said that windmills off the East Coast “could generate one million megawatts of power, roughly the equivalent of 3,000 medium coal-fired power plants, or nearly five times the number of coal plants now in the United States.”

The reality, however, is that there aren’t 3,000 coal fired plants operating. There isn’t even half that number. The Institute for Energy Research estimates that, to achieve Salazar’s insane goal, there would have to be 309,587 giant 3.15 megawatt wind turbines spread over 1,800 miles of coastline or about 172 turbines per mile of coastline. And, of course, the wind would have to blow 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Are these people crazy? You bet! Are the inmates in charge of the asylum? Yes, indeed.

They aren’t the only ones. The American Meteorological Society and several other otherwise respected science groups have completely lost their wits. The AMS wants to explore “geoengineering’s potential to understand its limits and to avoid rash deployment.”

Geoengineering? Remember that Star Trek movie that featured the “Genesis” machine that could convert a dead planet into one with grass and trees, rivers and oceans? When the AMS starts talking about geoengineering, it is strictly into cloud cuckoo land.

Absolutely nothing humans can or should do to mess with the unimaginably huge forces that determine the Earth’s atmosphere should even be contemplated. It is insane! It’s beyond science fiction. It is global genocide. Holdren has been urging “population control measures” since the 1960s.

In 1969, Holdren wrote that it was necessary “to convince society and its leaders that there is no alternative but the cessation of our irresponsible, all-demanding, and all-consuming population growth.” This is another way of saying that there are too many people sharing the planet with Holdren and he has been thinking about that “problem” for a very long time.

So have others in the Obama White House and, in terms of energy use, their “solution” is to make energy so expensive that people will stop driving, starting using mass transit, or just telecommute without going anywhere ever again. Forget about air conditioning and other aspects of modern life.

They intend to achieve this by scaring everyone with global warming talk and by claiming carbon dioxide is a “pollutant”. Then they intend to have the Environmental Protection Agency regulate it. Then they will tax it in the form of cap-and-trade “carbon credits” that must be purchased by all forms of industry and business in America. The costs will be passed along to consumers.

Billions would flow to a government that already is spending trillions in a mad scheme to fix the financial crisis.

What ever happened to just doing nothing? Sometimes when there is no problem, doing nothing is the most brilliant answer. There is no global warming. And, left alone, the financial crisis would correct itself in time. Everything the government is currently doing was tried in the 1930s and it just prolonged the Depression and made it worse!

In the meantime, loonies like Dr. John Holdren will be whispering into Obama’s ear about “shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect the sun’s rays.”

I am already sick and tired of this godawful “Nanny” government we now have in the US with a Congress composed of individuals who can best be described as old Hippies suffering from some sort of “arrested mental development” malady. Add to that a socialist President with a “Cold” personality and a Napoleon complex and you get an excellent mental image of the government running our nation and yes, and my state of North Carolina, and YOUR state, too, today. (That’s why approximately half the states have reestablished their state’s sovereignty in the past few weeks.)

Just how “dumb” do “Those People” think I am? Just how “dumb” do those people think YOU are? I ask because one would have to be a fool not to see that our leaders have now set aside for themselves, only, the elite positions of power in our country and they have insulated themselves from you and me, “The Great Unwashed.”

I am insulted by a smorgasbord of actions this socialist government has taken recently, not the least of which are the following: I am insulted by the government taking it upon themselves to decide, for me, whether I can smoke or not. (I smoke a pipe and cigars.) I am insulted that the government will decide what kind of automobile I can drive. I am insulted that the government apparently feels I am so “dumb” that they have to place a whole slew of dietary and nutritional information on the side of a can of Pork and Beans to protect me from myself! I am insulted that the government has decided that I am too dumb to know that tobacco is not good for me. (I said that already, didn’t I? Oh, well.) I am insulted that the government feels I am so “dumb” I won’t notice the complete waste of trillions of taxpayers dollars they have already spent and WILL spend to save banks and auto companies and other businesses that ought to be allowed to fail, to completely collapse, and, hopefully rebuild themselves from the ground up… stronger than they were before… IF they can!

I am a Capitalist! I am not a Socialist as, unfortunately, is my government.

To put it as clearly as I possibly can, I am embarrassed that the people of this country are so ignorant of politics they allowed themselves to be sold a bill of goods by a bunch of socialists who have been training for years to bamboozle the American electorate into electing a socialist president and a socialist congress.

I am insulted that the current US government thinks I am so dumb that I won’t protest the hell out of their campaign to ruin America for generations to come.

In the past few days, I have begun to wonder if it is time to turn the US flag over and display it, outside my home, upside down, as a signal of national distress. I have also wondered if that upside down flag ought to be adopted as the symbol of those who protest the hi-jacking of the US Constitution and the US government by a bunch of socialists jacklegs who don’t give a darn for anything--- short of power for themselves.

And I am not alone. Those “tea parties” held all over the nation on April 15th, (Tax Day) were just the beginning. What you were allowed to see of those protests which were, you may have noticed, filtered through a left-wing biased mainstream media, did not allow the truth behind those protests to make it’s way through to the public. Those people were in the streets protesting the socialist government now in control in our nation’s capital.

For every one of those people, you actually saw on the streets on April 15th, there were, and are, thousands more who, for one reason or another, could not be present at the tea parties. The noise that went up was a cry of anguish over the death of the greatest nation in the history of the planet. It was also a rally cry and a battle cry to, and for, conservatives to gather for the coming battle to wrench our nation’s government from the clutches of the socialists who have hi-jacked the US Constitution and trashed it!

More such “Tea Parties” are in the offing… we HOPE! Conservatives, normally a quiet, reserved lot, have been stirred from their quiet reserve and they are angry, determined, and motivated to rescue America.

Those “Tea Parties” scared the living daylights out of the left. They did not expect this. Never in their wildest dreams did they expect an “up-rising” from the right. Nevertheless, it is here!

The question on the minds of many conservatives today is… will the conservative uprising lead to the creation of a third political party, a solid conservative party, in the US.

Why a third party? Well, ask yourself where the GOP was on April 15th. Was the GOP represented by more that a token attendance at the parties? I think not. Conservatives have been asking themselves for years why we should stay in a political party that obviously does not value us or our conservative philosophy as they so ably demonstrated during the last presidential election cycle? The GOP wants the conservative vote… and nothing more.

Many conservatives could support a third party IF that party was a solid conservative party. Creating such a party and have it be effective with an impact on American politics will take many years, and possibly many decades. It will take monumental commitment by everyone involved.

Today the energy level is high among conservatives passionate about rescuing America. But the left will not be taken by surprise again. Already they are marshalling their forces, and resources, to nip the “tea” movement in the bud before it has a real chance to mature. Today, the left controls the government, AND the mainstream media. Of course, that means communications for the conservative movement must be by way of the Internet. Any conservative message filtered through the MsM will be watered down and/or censored. I point this out only to demonstrate how problematic creation of a third party will be. And that is just ONE of the problems it will face.

No matter which route fired-up conservatives ultimately choose, it will be a monstrous task. As long as the government is in the hands of the left, they will use the power of that government to frustrate conservative plans. The Mainstream Media, the lap dogs of the left, will use their considerable power to mute the message of the right, as well. Conservatives must be able to overcome this problem from the get-go or all is lost.

There is much to be considered here by conservatives. Was the Tea Party a flash in the pan, or will it be the shot fired across the bow of the socialist/liberal/democrat megalith that now has a strangle hold on America?

So, it seems to me, the real question is… is rescuing America worth it? Yes, that IS the question. And that is the only question conservatives in America are asking themselves today.

Back in the early days of America only property owners were eligible to vote. It was a way of insuring that only those folks with a vested interest in the country had any real say in how the country was run. The founders of the country knew that Americans with an investment in America would take their time, consider the issues, and very carefully consider the candidates and their qualifications before casting a ballot. That is totally unlike today when one, basically, only has to have a heartbeat, and be registered, in order to fulfill the qualifications to vote. I mean there is something wrong with a system that allows folks who are certified “mentally challenged” to the point they cannot tell you the current day of the week to show up at the polling places and cast ballots. But it happens every election day.

I have said it before and I’ll say it again…Obama’s election was a brilliant victory for ignorance in America. A people, clearly thinking would not have voted for the gentleman. I might add… they did not.

“Hope” and “Change” sums up everything about the foundation of the liberal political philosophy we conservatives have warned our fellow Americans about for decades. It is based upon pure emotion.

Emotion is that thing which drives the human animal to do things he ordinarily would not do if he were thinking clearly. It is based on “feelings.” Remember the motto of the ’60’s generation: “If it feels good… do it!” And THAT is exactly what I mean.

To a lot of Americans it just felt GOOD to vote for America’s first black President, now didn’t it? Making a statement that racism in America is dead felt GOOD, didn’t it? No matter that both were (and ARE) wrong… it felt GOOD! That “GOOD” feeling sprang from the besotted voter’s emotions.

The fact that Mr. Obama is only half black and racism still abounds in America, as it does the world over, was never considered because nothing about those two statements stirs the emotions.

This emotion-based political philosophy of the left is the very quality that makes them so dangerous to freedom and liberty.

For instance, the Obama Administration, along with the liberal/socialist controlling the Congress, intend to reduce the size of our military even more than it was under the Clinton Administration. They also want to reduce our atomic arsenal and they hope they can accomplish their goal of a nuclear free world in the foreseeable future.

Now, when you step back and look objectively at just those two liberal/socialist goals you can see that neither make any sense. If anything, we need to enlarge the military and increase their budget. We are at war and we will be at war as far as the eye can see into the future. Our enemies could not care less about how Americans FEEL about the war, they intend to pursue their plans to beat the US down, conquer us, and establish a worldwide Islamic Caliphate ruled by Sharia Law.

Only a lunatic could actually think rogue states like North Korea and Iran will give up their nuclear arms just because the US sets an example by giving up ours! That’s the kind of thinking you’d expect to find on the playground of a kindergarten at recess! It doesn’t even belong in an adult conversation. But… our new President, and his comrades, seems to think it is the right thing to do.

Our economy is in the tank because the Congress “felt good” ordering America’s financial community to make home loans to those folks they KNEW had no way of paying the money back. But, hey! It felt GOOD! Again, it was pure, rank, emotion. Now we are paying the price for an emotional act that just happens to be the very action that “keyed” the collapse of our economy.

Very soon now we will be told that Americans are going to have universal healthcare. In plain language… socialized medicine. If you think healthcare is expensive now, just wait ‘til it is free! Not to mention the degradation of healthcare treatment under such a system. Does socialized medicine in America seem like sensible thinking to you? Of course not! But, it makes the proponents of Universal Healthcare FEEL GOOD!

We Americans are living our worse nightmare. But millions of Americans have awakened to the real world since last November. Unfortunately, it is a few months too late.

To make matters even worse, those of us who would cry out in warning and make attempts to alert Americans to the socialist take over of our country with our verbal warnings, and commentaries, have been, or are being branded as “Domestic Terrorist Bloggers.” Why, even Homeland Security has warned police agencies all over America to keep an eye on us. It seems we are the Americans who present a danger to America! Yes, indeed… it is the world turned upside down… again!

I fear for my country. America has gone from a vibrant capitalist society to a dying socialist society almost overnight. We have become an impotent sleeping giant sprawled across the globe whiling away our days dreaming of a socialist utopia that does not exist and never has. If anything, we among al, people are the most to be pitied. How pathetic we have become. We have traded our shining city on a hill for a government low-rent housing project. The worst of it is… we did it of our own free will!

Yes, democracy can be a dangerous way to govern a country as the German people learned when allied bombs were raining down on their cities. They chose The Furher of their own free will and they paid a price no nation should ever have to pay.

For democracy to exist, to thrive, and to survive, it is incumbent, it is REQUIRED, that the electorate is intelligent, learned, and knowledgeable people. Because it is they who decide, by their votes, whether democracy, in a free country, lives or dies.

The overriding question today is… Can America even survive? The answer, realistically, is… NO, she cannot… not if she continues the course she chose in 2008. Having said that, we must also say that YES, America can survive… IF she changes course and returns to her roots as a capitalist, democratic representative republic.

There is likely to be a historic internal struggle in America over the next few years to decide the issue of whether America lives or dies. It will be ugly as such struggles always are. The first indication of which form of government Americans really want is likely to come in 2010 when American return to the polls. If socialist candidates are thrown out and defeated, there is REAL HOPE. If not, rest assured the struggle will go on for many decades into the future. America will be a troubled land for our grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Old America is gone. This New America cannot hold a candle to the greatness of the old America.

If you ever wondered what it would be like if seriously deranged people were close to the seat of power in America, you can stop wondering.

In January, the Competitive Enterprise Institute issued a three-page memorandum. William Yeatman, the author of the memorandum, had serious concerns about the nomination of Dr. John P. Holdren to be the White House Science Adviser.

This position heads the Office of Science and Technology Policy which, in official lingo, “serves as a source of scientific and technological analysis and judgment for the President with respect to major policies, plans and programs of the Federal Government.”

“John Holdren’s 40-year record of outlandish scientific assertions, consistently wrong predictions, and dangerous public policy choices make him unfit to serve as White House Science Adviser,” warned Yeatman.

Just how crazy is Holdren? On April 8, according to the Associated Press, Holdren said that “global warming is so dire, the Obama administration is discussing radical technologies to cool Earth’s air.” Holdren suggested that one option includes “shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect the sun’s rays.”

The last time anything of this nature was discussed, it was called “a nuclear winter” in which the debris from a nuclear war would fill the atmosphere and keep the Sun’s warming and nourishing rays from getting through.

According to Holdren, “It’s got to be looked at. We don’t have the luxury of taking any approach off the table.” Holdren believes that the Earth is in the grip of global warming, but the difference between belief and science is that the latter demands proof. Take, for example, the data our weather satellites have been sending back since 1998 all of which points to a cooling Earth.

Twice during the interview, Holdren compared global warming to being “in a car with bad brakes driving toward a cliff in a fog.” The truth, however, is that Holdren is a genuine cuckoo who probably checks under the bed every night to make sure the bogyman isn’t there.

Yeatman described him more charitably as a “chronic alarmist”, citing just a few of his paranoid fantasies. The title of this piece sounds like the title of a children’s book, what?

I must tell you I was amused at the left wing writers who continually bemoaned that Obama’s hands were tied and he had limited options in dealing with those Somali pirates and on and on the hand-wringing and the weeping and wailing went. It was and is, to say the least, pathetic!

It was laughable to see the reaction of the “press’ when the story broke that the pirates had been killed and the captain rescued. It was as if a collective sigh of relief went up from the left-wing media when they realized their man, unlike their “other” man, Jimmy Carter, could and would, and, in fact, DID, give the order to use deadly force to free an American in the clutches of Islamofacist pirates. In fact, my family and I had several belly laughs at the expense of the Mainstream Media. Their effervescent bubbling-over with relief and their words of praise tumbled nearly uncontrolled from their lips. It was hilarious! I watched as one reporter literally gushed with praise in a manner like unto that of one drunk on pure joy. He ran out of superlatives in the first few seconds and thus began his repeat and repeat rendition of the “Messiah Saves Again.” I fought the urge to phone his director with the suggestion that he be removed from the air immediately and made to lie down until the euphoria passed and someone with a more detached demeanor and a cooler head run in to replace him on the air. It was THAT BAD!

During those few days the captain of the seized vessel was held hostage this scribe was urging the President on toward the use of deadly force. You know, something like blasting the lifeboat to smithereens and then machine gunning the surviving pirates as they tried to swim away. That didn’t happen, exactly, but it was close enough to satisfy my personal thirst for retribution.

Over the next few days, I fear, we are going to be awash in praise and adulation of the President, over his part in this high seas drama. That is in accordance with the left’s way of overreaching, or just plain overdoing it. We already know what Obama did. It is enough. Let us move on.

If I had a suggestion to make it would be that we station more assets in the area off the Somali coast and interdict those pirates with a little “gunboat diplomacy” by blowing their boats out of the water and machine gunning any who try to swim away. I said that, already, didn’t I? Do that often enough and you wipe them out by attrition, or scare them out of business. Either way the problem is solved. Somehow, I don’t expect that to happen, so let’s move on to plan “B” which is simple enough. Locate the bases from which the pirates operate, along the east Africa coast, and drop hellfire missiles and bombs on those bases wiping everything, and everyone, out.

Do not delude yourself into believing this one incident will deter the pirates. They are not afraid of us, as they have said. So, let’s make them afraid!

Unfortunately, with the limp-wristed socialists in the White House, and in the State Department, we find, regrettably, they tend to wet themselves every time a problem, the solution of which demands the use if force, presents itself. Sometimes, of course they will simple assume the fetal position and just whimper. I am reassured that the story of the Xanax vending machine in the hallway, outside the Oval Office, is only an unsubstantiated rumor!

Lord knows, I try to prepare myself for never ending embarrassment every time a left-wing administration gains the presidency in America. I know they just don’t have it in them to act like, and behave as, men. Is there a shortage of testosterone on the left side of the political aisle? Is that what it is? Beats me. Then what is it? Why do they do the public hand-wringing thing, and the awful whimpering? It is unmanly. And, as I have said… it is embarrassing!

Without taking anything away from Obama for his ordering the use of deadly force in rescuing Captain Phillips, I still have to ask the following question: Why does Obama insist on elevating Iran’s Ahmadinejad, by having “talks” with him? Those talks will accomplish nothing for the US and everything for Iran. All Iran has to do is show up. Game over… Iran wins. There is something terribly wrong about that.

A few days ago I was entertaining the notion that Barry should take a lesson form the way Teddy Roosevelt handled a similar situation back in 1904 when a Trenton, New Jersey, man, named Ion Perdicaris, became the 20th century's first American victim of Middle Eastern terrorism. Mr. Perdicaris was taken hostage from his villa in Tangier, Morocco by a band of Berber tribesmen. Their leader was Mulai Ahmed er Raisuli.

President Theodore Roosevelt began waving his "big stick," by sending battleships steaming toward the African coast to ensure Perdicaris' safe release. Roosevelt also issued one of his most blood-curdling proclamations a President of the US has ever made. It was a statement that helped ensure his re-election and made Americans proud to be Americans.

Roosevelt’s proclamation was short and to the point: "Perdicaris alive or Raisuli dead!" A few days later Perdicaris was free. And yes, there was some back door diplomacy involved, but the job was done in short order without the US losing face and coming off as the “Paper Tiger” to which we are so often compared.

Ok, so I am still not satisfied that we have not elected another Jimmy Carter to the office of President. I sincerely hope I am wrong. Time will tell. If we have, then prepare to be embarrassed time and again.
The left just can’t help themselves. It just isn’t in them. The “doormat” posture seems to come naturally to them.

I’m beginning to think there should be a mandatory requirement for a blood test to determine testosterone levels for all Presidential candidates, left and/or right, in the future.

OK, OK, I hear ya! What about the lady Presidents, huh? Well, lets have one first, shall we? Then, maybe, eminent biologists can do whatever it is they do, and then tell us what the acceptable level of testosterone in the female candidates should be. Forgive me ladies; I am aware I am treading where angels fear to tread. Think about it. It just might save us more degrading embarrassments such as that Iranian hostage situation under Jimmy Carter.

Yes, I AM happy that things turned out the way they did, but I would have been even happier had the end come in a matter of hours rather than days. I believe that speaks to our being “unprepared” for this sort of circumstance and we should not allow that to happen again. We need to have the assets in place in the Indian Ocean, especially off the Somali coast… and be ready. It WILL happen again. Of that we can be sure.

While I am ranting here, let me ask the obvious. Why do we not have armed guards aboard merchant vessels plying those pirate-infested waters? Why are merchant vessels unarmed? I’m sure there are formerly reasonable answers to these questions. However, we need to reassess and change whatever needs changing, whether it is maritime law, or Insurance rules and regulations, or whatever. It is pure folly to sail those shipping lanes without protection.

Tell me… what part of “…shall not be infringed” do the “Gungrabbers” not understand? Huh? They just skip right over that part of the law. Yes, the constitution is THE LAW.

For those of you who may be “language challenged” here is the definition of “infringed” from the Free Online Dictionary:

Now, I’m an old country boy and, to a country boy, that means, simply, that I have a right to own, and to carry (bear), firearms and there is not a damned thing you can do about it. That’s what it (the US Constitution) says and that’s what it means.

So how in the world do the leftists get away with all those attempts to take our weapons or to tax the heck out of the ammo… all the things that present infringements on my constitutional right to own and carry a firearm within the United States? How DO they get away with it? Well, that is an easy one. Our government is controlled from the office of the President, the Executive branch, right through the Legislative branch, the House and the Senate, right on up to, and including, the Judicial branch, the Supreme Court of the US, by leftists~ and~ lately many of them have let us see their true selves, which are socialists.

As long as the left is in a position of power in the US the constitution is in jeopardy. Today the constitution is in DIRE jeopardy!

Americans are arming themselves as never before these days as they prepare for what they feel is coming. The “Tea Parties” the Mainstream Media tried so hard to ignore and to keep out of the pages of their newspapers and the broadcasts of their evening news shows, and the 24-hour cable news channels, are just the “warning shot” across the bow of the US government. Yes, the average American is frightened but he is also determined. Americans are determined that they will not give up their liberty without a fight. The government in Washington, somehow, seems to have missed this. Or have they? Personally, I am not so sure they HAVE missed it. I am beginning to think they not only are aware of it, but THEY ARE PLANNING FOR IT. Rumors abound that US troops are being trained to put down insurrection. (The very word itself sends chills down my spine.)

As a Southern American I live with an ancestral heritage of involvement in the last American vs American clash. It was a horrible time in the history of this continent. More Americans were killed in the war that ensued than in all the wars America has been involved in since it’s founding. It was brother against brother and it was merciless, bloody, and totally avoidable. (Much like what many are predicting is about to happen all over again.) We southerners have gaping wounds from that war, which have never healed, and never will.

Today, the average American senses his country is in distress. He senses his liberty is at risk, and he instinctively knows it will be left up to him, and to his neighbors, to man the barricades in defense of his country, his constitution, and his freedom. THAT is what is happening today. Americans are buying up weapons as fast as the manufacturers can turn them out and they are stocking-up on ammunition so fast that ammunition manufacturers, in some cases, have run out and, in others, there is a shortage of the most popular calibers of ammo.

Many Americans have taken to flying the American flag, outside their homes, upside down, which is an international signal of distress. It is also becoming the signal to others of like mind that here lives an American not afraid to defend his freedom.

Many conservative writers warned this would happen long before the election, IF Obama were elected. We were laughed off, scoffed at, made fun of, and generally disregarded as some sort of “gun nut.” Those who denigrated us then are not laughing now. They are, instead, trembling, and seeking protection from, who else, those in power in the government… the very same entity that brought us to this point in history.

The Americans purchasing weapons today are under no illusions as to what is about to happen in America. A large portion of those newly purchased weapons will disappear from the face of the each. They will be cached away out of sight of those within the government who will be seeking to find them and seize them.

“Oh, they can’t take our weapons! The Constitution says so!” you cry. My reply” “Just watch!” Once the government has implanted the idea of domestic terrorism deeply into the psyche of the average American the stage will be set for a proclamation of some sort which will suspend the 2nd amendment and THAT’S when they will come after your guns. Most likely it will be a claim of SOME sort of “insurrection” within the population. Already, conservative bloggers, like yours truly, are being labeled as “Domestic Terrorist Bloggers.” Yes, the stage is being set even now. The players in Washington are in place and waiting.

I have no idea exactly how they will do it, but rest assured, they WILL DO IT!

Already, the “Gungrabbers” are looking for ways to further shred the constitution. They are offering such suggestions as:

A law allowing only one gun per household

Limiting households to only two (2) ammo clips.

Ammo clips would be limited to only three rounds each.

Placing extremely high taxes on ammunition. (Taxing by the round rather than by the box or the purchase)

Forcing federal registration of all firearms in America.

These are just a tiny, tiny, fraction of the ways they seek to do exactly what the constitution says they can’t do and that is to “infringe” upon your right to own and carry a firearm in America.

There is no denying America is no longer a united country. In name, of course, we are, but, frankly, that is all. The country is split right down the middle. We have, in fact, two Americas. Those who believe in freedom and cherish the idea of freedom and liberty and desire to protect the constitution and all it stands for… and… the other half… that covets a “new” America, a socialist country, where freedom is defined by the state, where the state replaces God, and the citizens are allowed to exist with only so much as they absolutely need to survive… and no more. In exchange the state will look after their needs (“Needs” also defined by the state) from the cradle to the grave. The so-called “Nanny State”. This defines America (as it is today) as I sit here at this keyboard and tap out his missive.

I had hoped my life would end before what is happening in America today happened. But, alas, it is upon us.

Back in the middle of the last century I took an oath, as I was sworn into the US Army, to protect the constitution. There was no expiration date on that oath. I feel as bound by that oath today as I did then. Many veterans feel the same way.

Woodrow Wilson, a former US President, once said: “Liberty has never come from the government. Liberty has always come from the subjects of it. The history of liberty is a history of resistance.” President Wilson was wrong about a lot of things. But on this one thing he was absolutely correct.

Oil producing nations such as Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states, along with Venezuela, will grow rich while Americans will be faced with high costs for gasoline, motor and heating oil, and everything else that depends on oil such as asphalt or even Vaseline.

Meanwhile, oil producers in America, large and small, will take a financial beating. If you don’t like living in a modern, advanced and industrialized society, you will favor this. If you think Americans consume too much, drive too much, and deserve to be punished for it, you will favor this.

Recently, Barry Russell, the president of the Independent Petroleum Association of America, released a statement in which he said, “President Obama delivered a devastating blow to the American oil and natural gas industry by proposing an astonishing $30 billion tax increase (as part of his FY 2010 budget) on American energy producers, most of whom are small businesses.”

“Ninety percent of the oil and natural gas wells developed in the United States are done by small, independent businesses—not so called ‘Big Oil’—so tax increases hurt these companies most.” It also, of course, hurts any prospect for the discovery and production of new sources of oil and natural gas in America.

In a world where more oil and natural gas is required by developing nations such as India and China, the Obama administration proposes:

(1) A repeal of expensing of intangible drilling costs; a repeal of percentage depletion that allows for the depreciation of existing small, barely economic wells;

(2) A repeal of marginal well tax credit, a safety net for wells that produce small amounts of oil and gas that, collectively, supply almost 20% of the nation’s oil and 12% of its gas;

(3) A repeal of the enhanced oil recovery credit that allows industry to get more energy from wells that are depleted instead of drilling new wells;

(4) Increases the costs of geological and geophysical amortization costs involving the high cost of doing seismic and other high-tech surveys;

(5) An excise tax on Gulf of Mexico production;

(6) And a repeal of the manufacturing tax deduction, a provision given to every other American manufacturer and which allows independent oil and natural gas producers to put more money into new energy projects.

It is a plan to destroy the American oil and natural gas industry, and with it the nation’s economy.

Right now, however, the Obama administration has installed an “energy team” that is completely opposed to the development of any energy resources in America, from offshore and ANWR oil to coal mining or the construction of coal-fired plants to generate electricity. Coal currently produces 50% of the nation’s electricity.

Steven Chu, the Secretary of Energy, is on record saying, “Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.” It is $8 a gallon there.

Ken Salazar, the Secretary of the Interior, the agency that administers energy leasing on federal lands and most offshore areas, has a long record of opposition to such leasing of oil, natural gas, and coal exploration and extraction. He has already nullified recently awarded leases for natural gas drilling in federal land in Utah. Salazar is responsible for legislation blocking the development of shale oil.

Obama’s science advisor, John Holdren, out-does Al Gore with predictions of global warming calamities. Back in the 1970s he was worrying whether mankind would survive the “threat of making the planet too cold.”

Meanwhile, Wall Street is watching investment drop like a stone as Timothy Geithner, the Secretary of the Treasury, testifies that U.S. oil and natural gas producing companies should not receive federal subsidies in the form of tax breaks because their businesses contribute to global warming!

This attack on energy companies and access to energy resources in America is a formula for failure.

Obama Most Polarizing President in the History of the United States!…And this is surprising, how???

According to the Pew Research Center Barack Hussein Obama is the most polarizing President in the history of the US. What is surprising to this scribe is that THIS is surprising to ANYONE!

In his first 8 weeks in office, President Barack Obama has succeeded in widening the political gulf among Americans more than any other president in modern history, according to a new poll. The "partisan gap" between Republicans and Democrats is 10 points larger than it was under George W. Bush.

By comparison, the gap for President George W. Bush at a similar point in his administration was 51 points. It was 45 for Bill Clinton, 38 for George H. W. Bush, and 46 for Ronald Reagan. And the “gulf” is showing signs that it intends to widen still more!

Still there are those who cry for bipartanship. Look, I hate to tell you this… but BIPARTANSHIP is “UNAMERICAN”! This is a partisan country. Partisans founded it. It was founded because there was a HUGE difference of opinion between the people of the colonies and the King of England. Democracy is “partisan”. It is the nature of our country and the nature of our government.

Allow me to tell you a short story that might help clear up the misunderstanding about the partisan and bipartisan nature of our country and government:

There was a truly bitter election back in the year 1800 between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. When all the voting was finished Thomas Jefferson had won. But… and here is the big but… as the result of a quirk in the way the Electoral College worked at the time, Jefferson was tied with his own Vice-Presidential candidate, Aaron Burr.

If you are ahead of me here. You know that things just got completely out of hand. See, the election went to the House of Representatives. The Federalists, who had supported John Adams, hated Thomas Jefferson so much they decided to throw all their support to his Vice-Presidential candidate Aaron Burr. Now, at the very moment Burr understood that he just MIGHT become President, well, it was “Katie bar the door!” Burr pulled out all the stops and he began maneuvering for those votes.

Back then the rules required the House of Representatives to vote by state. Well, on the first ballot Jefferson had eight states. That was one state short of what he needed. Six states voted for Burr and two states were tied. Now, over the next few days the House of Representatives had thirty-two more ballots… and guess what? Nothing changed; Jefferson and Burr remained tied as the vote totals remained unchanged!

Things were getting hot in The House... And that’s putting it mildly! Why, Jefferson’s supporters threatened to arm themselves and cause all sorts of bad things, including throwing some hot lead around the Well of the House, if Jefferson was not elected! And… they were not kidding! President John Adams, himself, is on record as having wrote: “a civil war was expected.” Things were so hot and tempers were so inflamed and the fear of violence was so grave that the governor of Virginia, who, by the way, was a Jefferson supporter, placed guards around a supply of 4,000 firearms to prevent them being seized by the Federalist and possibly used in forcing an outcome favoring their candidate.

The sole congressman from Delaware, a fellow by the name of John Bayard, controlled his state’s vote. The Federalists had been, up to this point, supporting Burr. But, after three days of ballot after ballot, Bayard announced that he was going to abstain. That would throw the election to Jefferson. Some really angry Federalist took to the floor of the house and shouted “Traitor, Traitor” at Bayard. But ole John Bayard stood his ground. He later said he did it to save his country.

As a result, the deadlock was broken and Thomas Jefferson became the President. Some four years later Alexander Hamilton was shot and killed in a duel with Aaron Burr. Hamilton had been one of the Federalists who refused to support Burr under any circumstances. Hamilton referred to Burr as “the most unfit man in the U.S. for the office of President.”

I share this wee bit of US history in an attempt to demonstrate that partisanship in the government of the US is in no way new. No. Absolutely not! It is the way the government works, it is the way the government was planned to work. Those loud calls for bipartanship are deceptive as can be. They are used often as a tool to divert your attention away from the conniving behind the scenes by the very congresspersons calling loudest for bipartanship. Understand that in a bipartisan House of Representatives, for example, it would insure that every piece of legislation coming before that body would be passed. That includes the rotten pieces of legislation as well as the good. At least with a partisan House the legislation will be debated and examined before it is passed or defeated.

The fact that Obama is polarizing the country is no surprise to those of us who have been around the block a few times. That was a given from the “git go.” The country is split, almost exactly in half, over Obama and his henchman’s plans for the country. I count myself, proudly, amongst that half who wants to see Obama’s presidency fail, utterly, and his plans and machinations all come to naught. If I am right, and I believe that I am, things are going to get a lot worse in the Polarization Department as the months and years go by, and all the trials and tribulations the American people are going to have to bear under an Obama regime unfold.

Many of those Americans who voted for Obama are just now coming to understand that the Obama reigning as President is not the Obama they THOUGHT they were voting for. Had they listened to the warnings from us “old bulls” they could have saved themselves, and the country, a lot of grief.

The Obama Administration is preparing the battlefield for the coming battle with the new prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu. We warned weeks ago that this battle was just over the horizon and it appears the folks in the White House and the left-wing State Department of the US understand that they now face a man of conviction in Bibi Netanyahu. When pushed, Mr. Netanyahu pushes back. Look for a lot of shoving in the next few weeks and months.

Obama knows he is about to “lock horns” with Netanyahu over Netanyahu’s refusal to support the establishment of a Palestinian state alongside Israel. The Obama Administration is frightened by the prospect that Netanyahu may go directly to the US Congress in an attempt to gain support there for his refusal to submit to the Obama “Two State” policy (The State of Israel and the State of Palestine). If Netanyahu can withstand the coming “Obama Storm” it will make Mr. Obama look unable to control a client state of America and will lower his stock worldwide.

Obama says his Two State Policy is a must for his plans for Middle East peace and he intends to press Mr. Netanyahu to standby all the commitments made by the governments preceding that of Mr. Netanyahu’s in Israel. Obama insists that Netanyahu accept the principle of a Palestinian state; plus, Obama insists that Israel freeze settlement activity; as well as evacuate “illegal” outposts; and, to top it off, Israel must provide economic and security assistance to the Palestinian Authority. In other words, Netanyahu is expected to bow down and kiss Obama’s feet in full view of the remainder of the world.

Netanyahu is not about to do that.

The US government has yet to understand that a Palestinian State and “peace in the Middle East” are contradictions. One must be deaf, dumb, and blind not to see this. The so-called Palestinians don’t really want a Palestinian state. No! They want Israel gone… whatever the cost may be.

What does Netanyahu say about all this? He has called U.S. backed peace talks a waste of time while at the same time refusing to commit to the same two state solution that other Israeli leaders have. And, Netanyahu has said this: “Right now, the peace talks are based on only one thing, only on peace talks. It makes no sense at this point to talk about the most contractible issue. It's Jerusalem or bust, or right of return or bust. That has led to failure and is likely to lead to failure again.... We must weave an economic peace alongside a political process. That means that we have to strengthen the moderate parts of the Palestinian economy by handing rapid growth in those area, rapid economic growth that gives a stake for peace for the ordinary Palestinians." He has advocated time and again, an approach based on economic cooperation and joint effort rather than continuous contention over political and diplomatic issues.

Back in January of 2009, Netanyahu said he would continue the policy of the Israeli governments of Ariel Sharon and Ehud Olmert by expanding settlements in the West Bank, in contravention of the much-touted Road Map, but, he has promised not build new ones.

For the moment, he is holding his cards close to his chest on the issue of a Palestinian state. All the while he is being pounded by the US, the EU, the UN and sundry other countries that don’t get it!

But what about Iran’s vow to wipe Israel off the map? Well, Netanyahu has this to say: "It’s 1938, and Iran is Germany, and Iran is racing to arm itself with atomic bombs.” He said that there is only one difference between Nazi Germany and the Islamic Republic of Iran, namely that the first entered a worldwide conflict and then sought atomic weapons, while the latter is first seeking atomic weapons and, once it has them, will then start a world war.

Iran is making a fatal mistake if they do not believe Israel, under Netanyahu, will not attack their nuclear facilities. Netanyahu is a former Captain in the Saveret Matkal, a sort of “special” Special Forces unit of the IDF. That should speak for itself.

While Bibi is preparing to do whatever it takes to protect his country against annihilation by Iran’s nuclear weapons, the Obama administration is busy drafting some sort of policy which would distinguish between Iran's so-called “right” to have nuclear technology, including uranium enrichment done under international supervision, and the actual building of a nuclear weapon.

The folks in Eastern Europe should be calling Bibi and offering any assistance he needs rather than pounding on him to bow to pressure from the Obama Administration over anything.

When you look at these two men, Obama and Netanyahu, and consider their qualifications and their backgrounds, it is mere child’s play to choose the real leader.

On Thursday Jews in Israel and around the world will celebrate Passover. It is devoted to the story of their escape from slavery in ancient Egypt.

It took three millennia for the Jews to reestablish Israel as their homeland and they have not enjoyed a day of true peace in sixty years. The world shuns the Israelis, but they have learned the true meaning of “Never again” and it is a lesson the world needs to learn as well.

In December 2008 Hamas felt the sting of retaliation for firing more than six thousand rockets into Israel from Gaza over a period of several years. Then, of course, they declared victory.
To the north, Hezbollah has brought ruin to Beirut and parts of Lebanon by taking on Israel in 2006. Though the Israelis did not perform up to their usual standard, they nonetheless inflicted enough damage to discourage further attacks since then. The exercise in Gaza was masterful, demonstrating they had learned some new tactics.

Both Hamas and Hezbollah have reason to fear Israel.The Palestine Liberation Organization, also known as Fatah, is kept alive by the Israelis in order to have someone with whom to negotiate, but Fatah, headquartered on the West Bank, barely escaped alive from your typical internecine Arab warfare when Hamas kicked it out of Gaza.

Iran, long on fiery and provocative rhetoric will soon get a taste of what happens when you threaten Israel with nuclear annihilation.When Syria tried to build some kind of nuclear facility, the Israelis made a parking lot out of the place in September 2007, but Iran’s ayatollahs and its annoying president, Mamoud Ahmadinejad, probably think Israel will not attack their nuclear facilities.

Iran should fear Israel.

The United States will not be consulted, primarily because it cannot be trusted not to tip off the Iranians or anyone else for that matter. The latest blather out of Foggy Bottom, otherwise known as the State Department, is the same old sad stuff about not building more settlements on the West Bank and working harder with Fatah for a two-state solution.

Well, it’s a new day in Israel and two men in particular are going to write some history together. One, of course, is the estimable Benjamin Netanyahu, the new prime minister, and the other is Avigdor Lieberman, the new foreign minister. These are two Jews of a generation that grew up during the many early wars that Israel had to fight for its very survival. They have a very different world view.

In taking his new office, Lieberman said, “The fact that we say the word ‘peace’ twenty times a day will not bring peace any closer.”

Lieberman had some advice for the free world. “The Westphalia order of states is dead, replaced by a modern system that includes states, semi-states, and irrational international players.” That is as neat a summation of the way things are as you will hear from any statesman.

As for the irrational players, one has little doubt he is referring to al Qaeda and Iran.

Almost always ignored in any comments directed at Israel are the herculean efforts it has made over decades to engage the Palestinians in an effort to achieve peace and a two-state solution of which the Oslo Accords are perhaps the best known.

Lieberman and Netanyahu are no fans of concessions. They saw what happened after Israel pulled out of South Lebanon and after the unilateral withdrawal from Gaza. It did not bring peace. From Lieberman’s point of view, the only thing concessions have brought Israel is further isolation on the world stage and more death to Israelis.

Masterminding and leading that isolation has been the United Nations. We shall watch it in action during Durban II later in April. The first such conference was infamous for its anti-Semitism and the second is likely to be a repeat.

Of the entire world’s population, the Jews represent about 0.03 percent. Israel, a tiny spot on the map of the Middle East with some seven million Jews (and more than a million Muslim citizens as well) will do what it must to survive against enemies that deny the Holocaust, defile them daily with rank condemnation, and want them all dead.

When the Israelis are through ensuring their safety and the smoke clears, the world will pay attention. The most fundamental right of individuals and nations is self-defense.

The comments herein have been made necessary, in my opinion, by the left’s campaign to redefine socialism. The campaign is about to slip into high gear as the MsM (Mainstream Media) has taken up the banner and, from all appearances; they intend to run with it. The left-wing media folks have not yet settled on a common definition for “The New Socialism,” as of this hour, but soon they will, and it will be off to the races!

When I began using the word “Socialism” and “Socialist” to describe our new government… mainly the executive and legislative branches of said government, I was among the very few commentators to “call it as I saw it.” I was being honest. I use the word to describe that which I am observing, as it is being acted out right before my eyes.

Whilst using the words “Socialist” and “Socialism” correctly (as defined by the dictionaries I referenced) I must tell you… I wondered how long it would be before the leftist/socialists in the mainstream Media would protest the accurate description of the current US Government. Honestly… it took longer than I ever thought it would!

There is an old saw that says: “The truth hurts” and, indeed, it must, because the socialist media is coming after Conservatives who choose to use the “S” word. Yes, the leftists are coming after we capitalists with a vengeance.

Look, I was born before the 2nd World War. I have seen and observed Socialism as it crept it’s slimy way out of Russia, or as it was most recently known, “The Soviet Union”, and spread it’s malignant tentacles across the face of the European continent, and crossed the North Sea and the English Channel into the British Isles. I have observed socialism take root in South America and bring a few countries there to ”a head” (reminiscent of a pus-filled boil about to burst). I have a lifetime of observing socialism. So, do not tell me I don’t know it when I see it… because… I DO! I have lived on the same planet with socialism all my life and my education predates the takeover of the pubic education system in America by the left and their hordes of revisionists.

What we are seeing, dear reader, is a move by the leftist/socialists to “redefine” socialism in a vain attempt to camouflage it so the less educated, the less sophisticated among us, won’t recognize it as the “Nation-Killer” that it is. Given the absolutely absurd public education system in America and the two generations that are products of that system… their task will not be a difficult one. What I mean is… Modern Americans are too dumb to know the difference between REAL socialism and whatever the socialists, now in charge of the US Government, and the ever “faithful-to-Obama” Mainstream Media, tells them it is.

Try a simple experiment. Read the “A” section and the “business section” of your newspaper. Now before you turn your attention elsewhere, get your dictionary and look-up socialism, and compare what you have just read in your newspaper against the dictionary’s definition of the word “socialism”. But… do it quickly, before the next edition of the dictionaries is published. Why do I urge you to hurry? Because, the current definition of the word socialism WILL be CHANGED! Bet on it!

I am a Southern-American and I have seen what revisionists can do when they set their collective minds to it. As an example, I have seen the reasons for the American Civil War go from “States Rights,” taxes, and tariffs, to being about one thing, and one thing ONLY. Slavery.

Two generations of American kids have been taught that slavery was the reason behind that war. Now they believe it, completely, even though it is a bald-faced lie. The same two generations of Americans have been spoon-fed the myth of “Global-Warming” and they have swallowed it line, hook, and sinker! So, do not think for one moment, they cannot change the definition of Socialism…because they Can… and they Will!

American has now begun her slide into obscurity. Socialism will eat the heart out of this country. Just look around you and observe how our society is already crumbling right before our very eyes. That collapse is partly dues to the current government’s drive to redistribute the nation’s wealth. It is a simple fact of economics that when you take away the producer’s money… the producer stops producing! His incentive to produce has been taken away by the government. Socialism is, well, killing the goose that lays the golden egg.

Voltaire summed it up. He said: "In general, the art of government consists in taking as much money as possible from one party of the citizens to give to the other." Even Norman Mailer got it right when he said: "The function of socialism is to raise suffering to a higher level.” Ayn Rand said this: "Socialism is the doctrine that man has no right to exist for his own sake, that his life and his work do not belong to him, but belong to society, that the only justification of his existence is his service to society, and that society may dispose of him in any way it pleases for the sake of whatever it deems to be its own tribal, collective good." And finally a quote from on of the outstanding thinkers of his time and one of the Founders of what came to be known as the United States of America, Thomas Jefferson. He said: "To take from one, because it is thought that his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare others, who, or whose fathers have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, 'the guarantee to every one of a free exercise of his industry, and the fruits acquired by it.'"

As I said above, America has only just begun her ignoble journey to the dust heap of history. Socialism will eat the heart out of the country and, by “country” I don’t mean only the collection of people, places, and things we define as “a country.” I also mean us, you, and me. Just look around you. Let it sink in. Store it away in your memory bank somewhere, for soon that is all the America you and I have known will be. It will be just a memory… a DISTANT memory.

I have been sickened by the lack of action by the so-called conservatives we elected to the House and the Senate. Even President Bush, who fashioned a new name for himself by referring to himself as a Compassionate Conservative turned out to be nothing more that a moderate, at best, and a liberal, at worst. George Bush was not and is not a conservative. At best, he is a moderate, as is his father. I must tell you I am seriously concerned over the prospects of remaining in a political party, which does not represent my core beliefs. The GOP has backhanded its conservative base and no longer deserves our support. Instead, I feel it is time, actually past time, for Conservatives to have their own Conservative Party! I am sick at the prospect of our Military Forces being, once again, shamed by their civilian leaders and forced to withdraw in the face of an inferior enemy. A withdrawal from Iraq will do nothing to ease the Islamofacist's attacks against the US. In fact, it will only embolden them to strike at our heartland… and they will. Count on it! The slate of candidates for President, the GOP offered last year, was no better for America than the candidates the Democrats offered their side. . There was none among the Republicans I, as a conservative, could support. There was no way, and I was not alone as the figures plainly show, about to vote for someone who did not represent a drastic change from the policies of spend, spend, borrow some more and spend it, too!
I am tired of "big tent political parties". I'm tired of being told I must share that tent with liberal Republicans, and moderate Republicans, and the hosts of special interest groups who feel it is in their best interests to be under that tent. I want a party I can point to with pride and say, I belong to THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY!We can have such a party. It will take work, determination, and the ability to ignore the nay sayers who insist that a third party will not work. I must tell you… I am having a great deal of difficulty supporting a Republican Party, which does not represent me. I will leave the Republican Party, which has been my home since I registered to vote the first time, on my 21st birthday, in South Carolina... as soon as I have a political party, which actually represents me, as an alternative.It seems to me, Conservatives owe it to the American people to give them a clear-cut choice between the Democrats and a Conservative Party. As it stands today, the Republican Party is not providing that choice. If they are anything, the current Republican Party is Democrat-lite!As the GOP spirals downward, even farther that it has already, this is something we conservatives must consider... if we want to survive as a political force in America. To do nothing is unthinkable. What say you?

With some 2,000 Tea Parties scheduled this month, you’d think a Conservative Party would be on, or near, the top of their agenda. Let’s hope that it is. For currently, this conservative is in a state akin to “limbo”.
Look, the GOP can forget the conservative vote in 2010. It is not going to get those votes. Why? Simple. Conservatives do not trust the Republican Party any longer. The GOP is grasping at straws if it believes we conservatives will be scared back into the fold by Obama’s socialism. That is not going to happen.

I know of one conservative who went to the polls last November sick at heart over the republican slate of candidates and wrote in the name of Sarah Palin for President, even though she was on the ticket as the GOP’s Vice-Presidential candidate. You see, SHE WAS A CONSERVATIVE and that voter knew it and he voted for her!

We desperately need a Conservative Party. Someone in this formerly great country must step up to fight the rampant socialism the current crop of Congresspersons and Senators and even the President are “locking-in” in the minds of the those voters not equipped to think for themselves and not in possession of all the material they need to make an informed decision in the voting booth. They won in 2008 because they bought Obama’s message of socialism. It was a sparkling victory for ignorance in the USA.

If we conservatives want to change that, then we are going to have to do it ourselves and stop relying on the Republican Party to do it for us. That means we MUST have a viable Third Party… and the sooner the better!

Americans have a long and storied history of rising to the occasion when the nation is in jeopardy. I was born before the Second World War and I must tell you that, in my opinion, the nation is in more jeopardy, this very moment, than it has been since even BEFORE WW-II.

Our government is dragging at least half the nation's population, kicking and screaming, into SOCIALISM, which is, as we know, only one small step away from COMMUNISM. The nation is in serious trouble and I don't mean from businesses going belly-up.

Until January 20th of 2009, this nation was a capitalist nation. In a capitalist nation business is the bedrock of the society. Consumers decide which businesses live and which businesses die. Not the government! The Socialist way is for the government to decide, for the consumer, which businesses live and which don't.

So... what to do? First we have to accept that the America we knew, the America that dates back to even before the year 1776, is GONE! We also have to accept the fact that the US Constitution is being ignored. Soon with a turnover of Justices on the Supreme Court the Judiciary branch of the government will join the Executive and Legislative branches as a socialist entity and the transformation will be complete.

If we continue to tell ourselves that we only have to wait until 2010, and the next round of elections for Congress, we can change the government back to a democratic representative republic as The Founders intended, then we are setting ourselves up for total defeat.

By 2010 the country can, and probably will, be in such dire straights, financially, that the government can declare a national emergency and "postpone" the election. I would not put it past the bunch in control of our government, currently, to do just that. Once your right to vote is rescinded, what do you do then? Time is not on the side of those who wish to reinstate a representative republic in America.

The Republican Party cannot be counted on to do whatever is necessary to retard the socialist stranglehold on America. As a registered republican it gives me great pain to acknowledge this fact. But, there it is!

Soon, the socialist government of the US will be coming after the Internet, especially we conservative bloggers. You can be sure they are burning the midnight oil searching for ways to shut us up even as I write these words. Paranoia, you say? Well, "when an entire government is after you, paranoia is just damned good thinking!"

We must begin NOW. We cannot wait. As I said above... time is not on our side.

It will probably come as no surprise to you, if you are a regular reader, that I support the death penalty.

North Carolina is a death penalty state. Although there are forces here making a strong push to have the death penalty overturned in this state. I hope they do not succeed. Currently there is the Death Penalty Moratorium group, and there is the on again, off again, debate over physicians attending at an actual execution. Both, in my opinion are simply steps in the escalation of the anti-death penalty crowd to ultimately do away with the death penalty in North Carolina.

I don’t get it. Seems to me that if you take the life of another you forfeit your life. I don’t tie myself in knots worrying about becoming as bad as the murderer when my state takes the life of that murderer for what he has done. It simply doesn’t make sense to me.

I don’t worry about the death penalty’s effect upon recidivism. I, frankly, don’t know if the death penalty has any effect, at all, on recidivism. But, I do know that the executed convict certainly will not repeat his/her offense again… ever!

Is the death Penalty a deterrence to crime? Well, here is what John Adams of Marquette University/Department of Political Science had to say about it: "If we execute murderers and there is in fact no deterrent effect, we have killed a bunch of murderers. If we fail to execute murderers, and doing so would in fact have deterred other murders, we have allowed the killing of a bunch of innocent victims. I would much rather risk the former. This, to me, is not a tough call."

In fact, the Supreme Court of the US has said:
"Indeed, the decision that capital punishment may be the appropriate sanction in extreme cases is an expression of the community's belief that certain crimes are themselves so grievous an affront to humanity that the only adequate response may be the penalty of death."

Death penalty advocates do not see the death penalty as a solution to violent crime, as we are often accused of. No. The simple fact is we believe, as the Supreme Court has rightly said, that there are some crimes so grievous that only the death penalty is an acceptable response.
Then… there is evil. Whether we choose to believe it, or not, pure raw evil stalks the earth. It really doesn’t matter whether you believe there is such a thing as evil, it still exists, and it wreaks havoc in a civilized society. As long as evil stalks the earth heinous crimes will be committed. A civilized society cannot remain civilized if we allow the perpetrators of evil to continue to live among us.

Why do I broach this subject now? Considering the liberal/socialists now in charge of our government, I believe there will be a strong push in the next few months, or years, to have the death penalty repealed in the US. We can’t allow that to happen.

Look, already we are having a running debate over punishing the enemies of our country…those who would kill us by the hundreds, even thousands. That movement springs from a form of guilt the liberal movement feels. Yes, it is based on emotion, as is the anti-death penalty movement. An adult must be able to overcome his, or her, emotions and do what must be done at any given moment. Unfortunately, we are plagued with a host of leaders in this country who, apparently, have not yet reached adulthood. And… they have a multitude of followers.. and, I might mention, that quite often, the “leaders,” are led by those with stronger constitutions than they. Unfortunately, it is a curse this country must bear.

The bottom line is, if we wish to remain a civilized society then we must be ready to execute those who break our laws, and nature’s law, by murdering another human being or bringing massive amounts of pain upon our society by some action short of murder. If we cannot screw up enough courage to do what is necessary we will become like that part of the world, which today, feels they are above such things and rely upon the people of the United States to do their dirty work for them. I ask you, if we become like them, then WHOM will WE depend upon?

Finally there is a man in power in a nation on this planet with the intestinal fortitude (the guts!) to make darn sure Iran does not develop a nuclear weapon. I speak, of course, of Benjamin Netanyahu the new Prime Minister of Israel.

The question being asked, even whispered, around DC, the European capitals, and in Israel itself is: “Will Netanyahu attack Iran?” Well, Netanyahu, himself, has said the following: "I promise that if I am elected, Iran will not acquire nuclear arms, and this implies everything necessary to carry this out,” Sounds like he will attack Iran to me. Good for Bibi!

Politicos the world over are “pretty much” satisfied that Netanyahu, as Israel’s Prime Minister, certainly brings Israel closer to war with Iran. With Ehud Barak by his side in the venture, and with the conclusion by both men, that sanctions against Iran will not work and diplomacy with Iran is worth absolutely nothing, the only option left, it seems to this scribe, is force of arms. A military attack. With the socialist, Obama, at the helm of America, that leaves Israel as the only nation on the planet with the cajones to do what should have already been done and that is a military attack to either take out, or set back, Iran’s nuclear aspirations.

Reports, coming out of the Middle East, say that European governments are already making plans and, in some cases, even practicing getting their citizens out of Iran in the event Israel does attack. There are some in the media and in the various diplomatic communities of European nations who feel that unless the US OK’s Israel’s attack on Iran, the attack will not go forward. I have news for them. Unless Mr. Netanyahu has had a complete change of personality in the past few years, he will not allow Obama’s cajoling, or threats, to deter him from a mission he sees as absolutely necessary for Israel’s survival.

Everyone knows, or should know, that Israel cannot survive a nuclear attack by Iran. Not for very long, afterwards, in any event. Considering the high degree of anti-Semitism against the Jews in Europe (even after Hitler’s death camps and 6 million dead Jews) Europe cannot be depended upon to save the Jews or even lend a hand in saving the Jews, and, considering also the Obama administration’s quite obvious favoring of the Islamic nations that have sworn the extermination of Israel, Israel has little choice but to hit Iran with everything she has… including her own nuclear arsenal, if necessary, just to insure Israel’s survival.

Everyone who has studied the coming operation are fairly certain it will be a suicide mission for the Israeli forces taking part in the raid. The Israeli Air Force can get TO Iran, but those aircraft crews surviving the raid have a slim, if any chance, of getting back to Israel. Israel’s fighter/bomber aircraft can’t carry enough fuel, and the ordinance necessary to do the job, and get back without refueling. They are short on tanker aircraft for in-air refueling and reports say the US will not loan them enough tankers for the raid Unless Israel has managed, in their inimitable way, to, somehow, get hold to some extra tanker aircraft, those planes and pilots will go down before ever regaining the borders of Israel.

If the Israeli attack planes choose to take the shortest route to Iran it will take them through Iraqi airspace. The question now is whether American aircraft will be ordered to shoot down the Israeli planes enroute to and/or from Iran. The bomber aircraft will be shepherded by Israeli fighter aircraft flying cover for them. They may find that they have no choice but to take on the US planes in air combat over Iraq in order for, at least SOME of the Israeli bombers to get through to Iran. God forbid such a scenario should occur, If it does… I feel certain contingency plans for that eventuality have been drawn up and rehearsed by the Israeli Air Force.

Israel is fighting for her life and, in my less than humble opinion; she is also fighting for the lives of many a European family, not to mention American interests all over that region. It is my deeply held conviction that Israel has every right to exist as a nation and she has every right to remove a threat to her continued existence. If Obama orders US forces to fire on Israeli aircraft he will answer to God for his actions, first and foremost, and to the American people many of whom see Israel as, quite possibly, the only real friend we have in that part of the world.

As an American, I am deeply embarrassed that my own government would dare leave it’s client state, Israel, alone to carry out what will likely become a suicide mission for those brave Israeli pilots and aircrews without America’s assistance. It is unconscionable. Yet, it appears that is exactly what will happen. A few US tanker aircraft aloft, and loitering at some strategic coordinates along Israel’s route to and from Iran would save at least SOME of the Israeli pilots and aircrews and allow for a longer time over the target for the bomber aircraft. In short, it would make the mission far more successful and just might negate the necessity of a second, or even third, strike against the Iranian nuclear facilities.

In any event, this is a mission that must be undertaken. If Israel does, in fact, make the raid, the world will be in Israel’s debt for a very, very, long time.

My friend, the internationally famed climatologist, Dr. S. Fred Singer, calls them “the CO2 wars.” It is the last ditch attempt by the Greens, under the aegis of the Obama administration, to declare carbon dioxide a pollutant and thus open the door to its regulation.

Singer says such regulation “would be the equivalent of an atomic bomb directed at the U.S. economy—all without any scientific justification.”

I am increasingly of the opinion that the main goal of the Obama administration through CO2 regulation, exploding deficits, punishing taxation, and any other means at their disposal is the destruction of the economy and the complete control of impoverished Americans.

This is an administration that exists to impose an Orwellian socialist utopia after the smokescreen clears.

When it comes to CO2, Obama, his so-called science advisors, and the Environmental Protection Agency are all lying. It is governmental gangsterism.

As reported in The Wall Street Journal, “The Environmental Protection Agency has sent the White House a proposed finding that carbon dioxide is a danger to public health, a step that could trigger a clampdown on emissions of so-called greenhouse gases across a wide swath of the economy.”

Here are a few things you need to keep in mind about carbon dioxide:

CO2 is not a “pollutant.” It is a trace gas necessary for all life of Earth because it is essential to the growth of all vegetation.

Without CO2 all vegetation—grasses, forests, jungles, crops such as wheat, corn and rice—dies. Then herbivores die. Then you die.

The CO2 produced by human industry or activity is a miniscule fraction of a percentage of greenhouse gases. It constitutes a mere 0.038% of the atmosphere.

The oceans emit 96.5% of all greenhouse gases, holding and releasing CO2 as it has down through the millennia of Earth’s existence.

In past millennia, CO2 levels were often much higher than the present.

CO2 levels rise hundreds of years after temperature rise on planet Earth.

The Sun is the primary source of warmth on Earth. Rising CO2 is an effect of global warming, not a cause.

Both global warming and cooling are natural phenomenon over which humans have no control.

The Earth is not currently warming. It has been cooling for a decade and likely to continue for at least another twenty years or longer. If a new Ice Age is triggered, it will last at least 10,000 years.

Polar ice is now at record levels and still growing.

If you had a choice, would you prefer a warmer or colder Earth?

And consider this, if only the United States was to significantly cut its CO2 emissions, how much effect, if any, would that have in a world where most other nations, including China and India, have no intention of doing so? Both are exempt from the UN Kyoto Protocol. The answer is zero!

The EPA proposal is not about science. It is about power and it is about money. As the Wall Street Journal noted, “The administration has proposed a cap-and-trade system that could raise $646 billion by 2019 through government auctions of emission allowances.”

The federal government, though the aegis of the EPA, would have control over the destinies of an estimated 13,000 facilities if this regulatory obscenity were to become law.

“Coal-fired power plants, oil refineries and domestic industries, such as energy-intensive paper, cement, fertilizer, steel and glass manufacturers, worry that increased cost burdens imposed by climate-change laws will put them at a severe competitive disadvantage to their international peers that aren’t bound by similar environmental rules.”

Such industries would flee the United States as the most toxic place on Earth in which to do business.

This would be the fulfillment of the Obama administration’s goal and explains in part why this new assault on science, industry, and common sense has been put forth by the EPA.
